Vincent Smith Dies
At Home In Yonkers

Funeral services are being held today for Vincent Smith of 25 Hill Crest Ave. Eighty-five, he died Wednesday at his home. 'When he retired in June, 1950, from the Gerry 'Estates Inc., a personal holding company in New York, Mr. Smith was presented a plaque commending him for 50 years of service. He had been treasurer and secretary:
He was graduated from Marietta Columbus, Ohio, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, the son «f Alpheus and Fanny Smith.
In Washington, Va. he married the former Frances Carter and they recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary. The couple moved here in 1928.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Mayflower Society ar»d served as a vestryman of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church here. He was a member of the Bradford Family Compact, a society of direct desccndents of the late Gov. Bradford of Massachusetts.
Surviving are his wife, and two sons; Vincent C. of the home address, and Corbin J. of France.
