Miss Ruby Walter

Miss Ruby M. C. Walter died Sunday, July 24 in a Staunton hospital at the age of 77.

Miss Walter will be remembered in Washington, Va., since she spent many summers here with Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller at Millermead and did oil paintings of scenes in the county. Many of Miss Walter’s paintings are in homes here.

She was a life member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Washington,' D. C.

Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, among whom Gen. James Anderson, an instructor at V.Mfl. for years, and who has recently retired as Chairman of the State Highway Commission, is one.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 28 (today) at 2 p.m. at the cemetery in Linden, with Rev. Frederick G. Weber, Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Front Royal, officiating.
