Though Nixon and Lodge on the Republican ticket, carried Virginia in the race, the nation went Democratic, as did the County of Rappahannock, without the blessing of the grinning little mountain climber.
This is the third time in a row that Virginia has gone Republican.
A break down of the voting in Rappahannock, though not complete, is below. The tally on the amendments to the State Constitution 'and thte Soil District vote is not available at this time. Unofficially voting was as is shown in the chart at left.
Roast Beef Dinner •
A roast beef dinner with all the trimmings will be served Saturday evening, November 19, at the (fire hall in Flint Hill from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., under the sponsorship of the Baptist and Methodist Churches of Flint Hill.
Price per plate is, adults $1.25 and children under 12 75 cents.
