OBITUARIES
Robert F. Sutphin ^ Robert Franklin Sutphin, a retired carpenter of Amissville, Va., died Saturday, November 5th, at his residence after a long period of declining health. He was bom on February 18, 1868. , , He was the son of the late James Edward Sutphin and the late Mary N. Riley of Rappahannock County. His wife was the late Alice Kemper Sutphin of Culpeper County.
Surviving arc five children, Mrs. Edith Burroughs and Mrs. Myrtle Wayland of Washington, D. C.. Edward Sutphin of Annapolis, Md., Clav and Hugh Sutphin of Laurel, Md.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from Amissville Methodist Church on Monday afternoon, with Rev. John Hodge and Rev. Ralph Staltet officiating. Pallbearers were Edwin Sutphin, Walter B. Minter, Frank Sowers, James Minter, William Minter and Leroy Sutphin.
Interment was in the Amissville Methodist Cemetery. The, Geest Funeral Parlor was in charge of the arrangements.
