Convention
The Virginia Teachers Association Convention closed its 79th annual session in Richmond Friday. Rev. Martin Luther King of Alabama closed the Friday session with an address.
Mrs. Julia Boddie was a delegate from Rappahannock County Teachers Association to the convention. Also from Rappahannock were the following teachers who attended the closing meeting Friday, Mrs. Dorothy C. Butler, Mrs. Mildred Collins and Mrs. Beatrice B. Austin.
Approximately 5,000 teachers and educators attended the convention.
The Rappahannock County Teachers Association is sponsoring a Parcel Post Sale and Cake Walk at the Washington School November 18 at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and buy the gift of your choice and enjoy an evening of fun.
