With the whirl of lights from the midway and the dfelightfi>I aroma of coffee and popcorn filling the air, the annual Amissville Firemens carnival got underway Wednesday night.
Feature attraction for tonight is the big parade wih over eighty units entered. Parade time is 6:30 p.m. EST.
Friday, 9 queen will be chosen from the group of young hopefuls vying for the title of Miss Amissville. Crowning will take place at 8 p.m.
Saturday die grand prize will be given away along with many other wonderful prizes.
Each evening there are rides and games for all ages, good food and drinks, with emphasis on the home made baked goods available.
A plate supper will be served by the ladies of the auxiliary after the parade Thursday evening.
