Point-To-Point Races

The 12th Annual Rappahannock Poimt-to-Point Races will be held Saturday, March 3rd at Thornton Hill Farm, Sperryville, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
This year, for the first time, riders have the option of wearing race jerseys. This more comfortable and colorful attire will help the spectators easily identify tihieir favorites.
According to Mr. Oliver Durant, Race Committee Chairman, the jumps have been completely renovated and the course is is excellent condition.
Nine races are carded starting with the Young Entry for juniors riding ponies 13.2 and under. Filtered in this race are Carolyn Tholand, Emily Smith, Oliver Brown and Charlie Brown. All of these hunt with the Rappahannock Hunt.
For the second year, the Seven' Corners Shopping Center is sponsoring an owner-rider race based on a point system. This is the Ben Venue with five entries to date: Josef M.
