John O’Bannon is feeding crossbred Charolias baby beeves this year. Not sure how you spell the name of this breed, anyway think they came from France, (pronounced Sharlay). They are cream colored. Those I’ve seen are rather rangy, have plenty of substance. Crossed on Angus, the offspring is mostly mouse colored, while pale red almost yellow with white faces.
Allen Stokes, as well as Maurice O’Bannon, are crossing Charolais on Angus. Mr. Stokes (and possibly Mr. O’Bannon), has a few purebreds.
