Miss Manv Crowned
Sweetheart Of RCHS
Miss Sue Many was chosen the Sweetheart of Rappahannock High School at the dance and party held Friday evening. Miss Many represented the 12th grade.
Miss Brenda Nalls, of the 8th grade, was runner up. Both girls received silver bracelets and Miss Many was given a bouquet of red carnations. ™ Others participating were Miss Sally Latham, 11th grade representative; Miss Dottie Davis, 10th grade and Miss Shirley Atkins of the 9th. The contest was sponsored by the S.C.A. and Taylor Updike, president of that organization officiated at the crowning of the Sweetheart.
Over a hundred students enjoyed dancing, table game. David Palmer presented a “snake stunt”, and the glee club quartet, Misses Linda Rowzie, Sally Latham, Tish Kilby and Kaye Johnston presented several vocal selections, accompanied by Miss Virginia Bradford at the piano.
Mrs. Warren Wilbur and Miss , Luerena Zirm were directors of the program.
