In a rural area such as ours, there are numerous dwellings arnd small buildings having the required thickness, but require overhead protection. This could be accomplished in many cases by placing concrete blocks, etc., on a supported platform. Concrete building blocks would have to be solid, or the holes would have to be filled to be effective.
Look around you; there just could be the right answer. The expense would be small if each member of the family pitches in. The satisfaction of worthwhile accomplishment would be great.
