R.C.H.S. Girls Win District Basketball
Championship With Victory Over Nokesville
Spa.ked by the slogan “Did David Slay Goliath.You Bet,” the Rappahannock Pantherettes won over the favorite, Nokesville, Saturday night, to take the championship in the Distiict Nine Group II girls basketball league. Nokesviile was undefeated this season until Rappahannock took the final tournament game with a 40-27 score. Nokes*ide had previously beaten Rappahannock 66-31 on the local girls home court. The tournament was held at Osbourne High School, Manassas, on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights.
