Fruit Growers Meet

Association To Plan

A sympathetic group of some 40 fruit growers m'et with representatives of the Virginia Agricultural Marketing Association (VAMA) at a dinner held in the CabInn Restaurant, Sperryville, last evening, and heard plans discussed for better stabilizing the market price of processing apples.

A. T. Lassiter, manager of the VAMA, told how the Virginia Association is one of six such associations set up in the states of Virginia, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland, the activities of which are being g e n e r a 1 lv coordinated through the AAMA, an affiliate of the conservative and powerful American Farm Bureau Federation.

T. T. Curtis, president of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation and a member of the board of directors of the American Agricultural Marketing Association (AAMA), explained that Farm Bureau is vitally interested in sound progress for all commodity groups.
