Trout Catch Down
On Opening Day
According to Game Warden C. Ennis Brown, fishermen by the score lined the banks of the trout streams Saturday when the season officially opened at noon.
Mr. Brown estimated the catch to be somewhat less than that of last year, probably because the waters were not very clear.
The license bureau reported that more fishing licenses were sold this year.
While other were trout fishing, Johnny Coates, the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Coates of Etlan* was busy in a pond not too far away. His prize was an eleven inch bass.
