The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Warrenton, Va. at the St. James Episcopal Church on Culpeper Street on Tuesday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If this visit is reasonably supported, a total of 850 pints will be reached for theis fiscal year, not our quota by any means, but over twice the results of last year. With a good showing at this visit of the mobile blood unit, we will insure our continuing supply from the Regional Blood Center for 196263.
Rappahannock is combined with the Fauquier Chapter of tfie Red Cross, so it is the duty of every person able to be a blood dcnor. Our county has consumed much more blood than we have given.
Church Dinner At
Lee Highway Hotel
Sperryville Methodist Church will have a Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings Saturday, May 19th beginning at 5 p. m. The dinner will be held at L*c Highway Hotel and is 75c and $1.25 per plate. Proceeds will go toward church repairs.
May 5th Deadline For
Paying Poll Tax
Saturday, May 5 is the last day to pay your capitation tax to be eligible to vote in the July primary and the November elections. According to Robert L. Brown, the Treasurer of Rappahannock, the office will close at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5th.
