A home-bred and well known Mangione, Lexington, Ky. locally, Russ has been successful in point-to-point events during the early spring. Most recently he has been returned the victor in the Middleburg Hunt Cup and the Middleburg Championship Invitational Poipt-to-Point.
Burraidh, to be ridden by the youthful owner’s husband, has been undefeated in his only two starts this season in sanctioned races. A 7-year-old twin gelding by Papa Redbird-Intrigue, the invader from Kentucky scored a nose decision over Fox Fair in the recent renewal of the Carolina Cup at Camden. S. C. This was followed by a triumph over Jamaica Boy in the North Carolina Hunt Cup at Tryon, N. C.
