MANS’ CONQUEST Since the day of creation, and man was pu/t on earth, An instinct of preservation was given him by birth. How to keep his body warm, to feed it to survive; A Shelter from the elements, come rain, wind or tide. Days of dark ages ending, into a cultured world he grew, A change in characteristics was taking place anew. As centuries passed, a goal he sought, in life to acheive, His mental powers grew stronger, knowledge to receive. With conditions thus presented life should have played a greater role. Bread for the body, blood shed for the soul. He surely is a genius, but has failed to ever find, Insight of his emotions, how to care for his mind. Somewhere among the mysteries and it brings to me remorse, Life was presented so; “the cart before the horse” But there remains a hope, somte day the answer find. To acheive a healthy body, first acheive a healthy mind. Within this world today with its glory and its fame, Primitivity still exists, when viewed with scorn and shame.
