Woodville Youth
Hold Hay Ride
In all of its beauty and fragrance, the big orchard on Clover Hill Farm, Woodville was the setting for a hay ride and weiner roast which was thoroughly enjoyed Saturday night by 28 young people from the Woodville community. After roughing it a bit and finishing off the food, as only the youngsters can do, the group spent the remaining time at the Baptist parsonage there, though no one had enough pep left to play games.
Members and guests of the Fun and Fellowship group who were present were John, Robert, Beth and Martha Lou O’Bannon, Jacob and John Turner Dodson, Tom, Dean and Leta Fitzhugh, Sandra Orange, Merle Dulaney, Richard and Edna Bayne, Richard Thompson, Jean and Betty Lou Atkins, Joyce Dodson, Johnny Smith, Larry Conners, Martha Bee, Barbara, Shirley and Betty Dodson, Tommy Sisk, Barney Pauze, Linda Beahm, Leslie and Michael Titchenell with Rev. B. Gale Titchenell as the chaperone.
The morning after, with the counting of “noses”, found 20 of the same faces in both Sunday School and worship service at the Woodville Baptist Church. Five of the others attend other churches, leaving only 3 unaccounted for. Sunday evening arrived with 17 attending the regular meeting.
