Blossom Festival
Miss Patricia Anne Godfrey will reign as Queen of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester today, Friday and Saturday. Miss Godfrey is the daughter of internationally known TV and radio star, Arthur Godfrey, who will serve as the Queen’s escort for her Coronation.
The coronaton is scheduled for 3 p.m. May 3 (today) at the Handley Bowl, and the Hon. Luther H. Hodges, United States Secretary of Commerce will place the crown on Miss Godfrey’s head.

Roast Beef Supper
At Chester Gap
The Ladies Auxiliary to the Chester Gap Fire Department will sponsor a roast beef supper on Saturday, May 12 beginning at 5 o’clock. The public is cordially invited to attend.
Local School Host
To Conference
Rappahannock County High School was host Tuesday night to District N Principals and Guidance Directors Conference. Prior to the session, a delicious dinner was served to over forty delegates from Prince William, Fauquier, Warren, Culpeper, Clarice ]U>udoun, and Rappahannock Counties. Between courses the guests were entertained by members of the high school choral group under the direction of Mrs. Warren Wilbur.
Those leading in the conference discussions were Miss Gertrude Lewis, Miss Helen Warriner and Mr. Martin Tarter of the War' renton Regional Office of the State Department of Education. The Guidance *3ection was under the direction of Mrs. Helen Parr, of Garfield High School.
