Washington And
Flint Hill Churches
The Washington and Flint (Hill Baptist Churches will have a joint revival beginning Sunday, May 6 through Friday, May 11. Rev. Gareth Miller will be the evangelist. Mrs. DeMaris Lou Gaines will play a fifteen minute Medley of Sacred Hymns beginning at 7:45 p.m. Sunday evening. Mrs. Gaines, the sister of Rev. Warren Wilbur, is professor of organ and harp at Northeastern Oklahoma A and M College. The services are lister below. Sunday 8:00 p.m. WashingtonMonday 8:00 p.m. Flint Hill. Elects Officers
At a Special Meeting April 30th called by Commander J. B. Atkins, the following officers were elected:
Post Commander, Carson B. Johnson.
Senior Vice-Commander, A. J. Dodson.
Junior Vice-Commander, E. J. Clark.
Quartermaster and Adjutant, Irvin R. Kilby.
Post Trustees, J. B. Atkins, Roy B. Leake, and E. W. Gore.
The above officers will be installed by Mr. W. I. Wooddell, Quartermaster and Adjutant, Virginia Department V.F.W., on May 8, V.F.W. Post Home at 8.00 o’clock.
The regular meetings of the Post will be changed from the present 1st Monday of each month to the 1st Tuesday of each month. This change was necessary due to conflicts wth other Organizational Meetings. All Members are urged to attend the Officer Installation on May 8th. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the Meeting.
