A Northern Virginia Power Company lineman was injured when he contacted a live wire Monday while working on the lines near J. W. Fletcher’s farm at Sper.ryville.

Raymond Painter of Leakesville, Va. was severely burned on both hands when he touched a wire which he thought was not charged. He was treated on the scene by Dr. John Snead of Sperryville and taken to University of Virginia Hospital Charlottesville by Rappahannock Rescue Squad.

Stacks Ordered

The latest report on the progress of the Rappahannock Library is that metal stacks are being ordered and work on the entrance is being finished this week.'Mr. T. J. Pillar, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mrs. B. M. Miller, Treasurer, the Rev. Dabney Carr and the Misses Josephine and Anna May Stambaugh who inspected the work on Monday report satisfaction with the appearance so far. The brick for the entrance has been matched to the rest of the structure and will add to the general pleasing effect. The Misses Stambaugh, both highly qualified and experienced librarians, have expressed great interest in the project and their advise and cooperation is appreciated by all concerned.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Fire Company requests that folks keep in mind the Rummage Sale to be held during the month of May and start saving salable articles for that purpose. While spring cleaning is often a "throwing away" time it is suggested that some unwanted things would be desirable to someone else and that is what makes a successful Rummage Sale.
