by 17 owners competed in the ever popular hound race with “Bumble Bee", owned by Mrs. Doris Coughlin finishing first. It was a close race as “Yellow Jacket" belonging to Woodrow Coughlin bounded over the line second and Jimmy Gibbs hound “Yellow* came in third. In the Young Entry, with only two horses at the post, ridden by brothers, Cracker Jack was the victor - -and Piccolo was second. Riders were Oliver and Charlie Brown, respectively. The Quarter Horse race had three entries and was won by Scoop Shovel. The Mt. Salem ladies’ race was won by Mils Pal with Darby Lane coming in second. Mrs. Joyce Page, riding Piping Bess, fell off at a jump.
