Another gle aming gold bascetball trophy has been add;d to the case in the hall at Rappahannock High School. Enthusiastic students had designated a place for the rophy and the sextet of Fanhcrettes obliged by defeating Warrenton High Saturday light to win the District Nine 'i roup II championship for the second consecutive year. In the final tournament ;aire played Saturday night n John Mosby Academy gymnasium in Front Royal,' Rappahannock scored 23 points against Warrenton’s 19. With a slow start Rappahannock was out-scored by Warrenton through the first three quarters. At the end of the first quarter the scoreboard read 5-3 in favor of Warrenton and at half time was 12-6, still in Wrfrrenton’s favor. However the Pantherettes closed the gap by three quarter time and were only one point behind their opponents, 15-14.
