MINUTES Of A MEETING OF THE DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT COMMITTEE FOR THE COUNTIES OF FAUQUIER AND RAPPAHANNOCK, HELD ON THE 18th DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1963 AT WARRENTON, FAUQUIER COUNTY, VIRGINIA.

On moton of James W. Fletcher, duly seconded by John W. Stone, John W. Stone was named as Chairman of the Committee and said motion was carried by unanimous vote. On motion of. John W. Stone, duly seconded by James W. Fletcher, the latter was named as Secretary of the Committee. Said motion was unanimously carried. The following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted: “Resolved that the nomination of the candidate of the Democratic Party for the office of member of the {louse of Delegates of Virginia from the Counties of Fauquier and Rappahannock, to be voted on in the general election to be held in said legislative district on November 5, 1963, shall be by direct primary method and that a primary for the nomination of the said Democratic candidate for said office shall be held on July 9.- 1963, pursuant to the provisions of the State Primary Laws and that all candidates for said office shall file their declaration of candidacy with John W. Stone, Chairman of the Democratic Legislative District Committee for the Counties of Fauquier and Rappahannock, at Warrenton, Virginia, at least 90 days before the said primary to be held on July. 9, 1963, and that if not more than one candidate flies for said position, he be declared the Democratic nominee of the party for the House of Delegates of Virginia from the aforesaid District”
