Mr*. Mary Atkins
Mrs. Mary Atkins, wife of the late Charlie Atkins of Sperryville, died Tuesday, February 26, 1963, at her residence. Daughter of the late Jonas Atkins and Sallie Dodson, his wife, and a native of Rappahannock County, she was 90. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Herbert Jenkins and Mrs. Joe Donnell, both of Washington, Va., and Mrs. Lloyd Atkins of Sperryville, and two brothers, Frank Atkins of Sperryville, and Atha Atkins of Chenoa, 111. A son, Lester Atkins, died 30 years ago. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, March 1, in the family section of Sperryville Cemetery. The Rev. Kirby Shenk of Luray conducted the last rites. Pallbearers were Jonas Jenkins, Wilson Atkins, Alson Atkins, Burnam Atkins, Dick Atkins and Alvin Atkins. Arrangements were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.
Robert A. Dapper
Robert Adolph Dapper, a native of Gallfon, Ohio, died Friday, March 1, at his home In Sperryville, aged 67.
A funeral service was held March 4 in Ft. Lincoln Chapel with burial in Ft. Lincoln Cemeter, Washington, D. C....
Son of John Daniel and Mary Kunert Dapper of Ohio, Mr. Dapper Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Stevenson Dapper lof Sperryville; three sons, Edward Reid of Frederick, Md., Nathan Earle of Fulton, Md„ and James Robert Dapper of Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ruprlght of Merryswllle, Ohio; two brothers, John H. of Pickens, S. C„ and Carl Dapper of Los Angeles, Calif„ and eight grandchildren.
