Mr*. Myrtle Jenkins
Mrs. Myrtle Bruce Jenkins 67, of Winchester, died Friday, March 8, 1963, at Winchester Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Sperryville, Va., the daughter of John and Lula Atkins and was the widow of Joseph Jenkins. Surviving are three children, Mrs. John Lowrey and Clifton Jenkins of Winchester and Mrs. Charles Streit of Baltimore, Maryland, two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Martin of Claymont, Del., and Mrs. Ernest Jenkins of Falls Church; ten grande h i 1 d r e n and three great-grandchildren. A grandson, Richard Streit, made his home with Mrs. Jenkins. Funeral services were held Monday from Jones Funeral Chapel in Winchester at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Stannard E. Phelps officiated. Interment was inthefamily section of Sperryville Cemetery. The Rev. James Grimmer, pastor of Sperryville Methodist of which she was a member, conducted a graveside service. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Rannie Aylor, Buddy Aylor, Johnny Streit, Tommy Streit, Gary Streit, and Philip Lowery.
