Sperryville III 4-H By Sandra Foster, President
The Sperryville III Club girls are reviewing the foods necessary for good nutrition.
This^is In connection with the “foods for good nutrition project." Demonstrations are being given by some of the girls. The Sperryville III Club boys are studying forestry. They’ve learned the parts of a tree and some of the boys have ordered trees to plant. Club officers are: Sandra Foster...President, Jean Woodward,... Vice President, Dorothy Dodson. ..Secretary, Duane Williams ..Devotion Leader, Beverly Beahm,...Song Leader, and Bobby Butler...Reporter.
Rappahannock Senior Boya 4-H Club
For the second consecutive year, Rappahannock Sr. Boys 4-H Club has chosen to study the Soils Project. At their last meeting the boys learned how to take soil samples. The boys have also been learning about the different types of soils and their characteristics.
Officers are: Harrison Powers, President; Jack Jenkins, Vice President; Ellis Smith, Secretary; Donald Williams, Devotion Leader; and Harold Walker, Reporter.
4-H Report
This year in the 4-H Club our project is Cooking. The boys project is Tree Work. I would also like to tell you who the officers are: President, Nina Bailey; Vice President, Billy Dodson; Secretary-Treasurer, Danny Hitt; Devotional Leader, Charlotte Printz; Song Leader, Donald Clatterbuck; Reporter, Dollie Nicholson; Adult leader, Miss Barbara Jones. I would also like to say that the 4-H Supper will be Saturday night, March 16, 1963, 5:30-7:30 at the Rappahannock High School. We have our meetings here at the school the 3rd Friday in each month. I'm enjoying being reporter so everyone can hear the news about 4-H Club work.
The boys are still working | on the tree project. | At the last meeting Billy Dodson called the meeting to order. Miss Jones and Betty Jenkins did experiments, one on dry yeast and ! the other about eggs.
