Fauquier Livestock
Exchange To Open
More than 230 persons have bought $96,500 worth of stock in the farmer-owned Fauquier Livestock Exchange Inc. which opens on Rt. 55 between The Plains and Marshall, Va., at 1 p.m. on April 9. The up-to-date facility, on 22 acres at Brooks Corner, will be open every Tuesday for the sale of cattle, calves, hogs and sheep. Its cost, during the first year of operation, has been estimated at $150,000, including buildings.
Open sale of the stock will be discontinued on April 15. Shares are available at $100 each from the Peoples' National Bank, the transfer agent, at Warrenton, Va.
