Cabin Betty", owned by Dr. Frank Fowler of King, N. C., won 4th H. G. A. in the North Carolina State. BUT topping them all, “Tommie Lee , owned by B. T. O’Neil of Meridian, Miss., won 7th HGA in the USO, the most gruelling trial in the nation! < All of these hounds were sired by Buddy Watts which is recognized as one of the better fox hounds and Stud Dogs of the present days. The first Field Trial he' was entered in was none other than the National of 1959. He scored in every class and placed 4th HGA in the Stake. Four weeks later he made the grade in the USO. As a sire; in 1960 he made the leading Count of Sires placing 7th and was the young, est sire of the Nationally ranked sires. This rank is based on winnings in the field of a sires’, offspring. He placed 7th again in 1961 and again was the youngest hound making the list. Winnings of his now being published in reports of last fall’s Trials Indicate he has a chance of being a repeater in 1962. Buddy Watts is owned by Mr. Albert Setzer of Sherrills’ Ford, N. C. . Lyne plans to enter Folly in the Virginia State this fall
