Monday, March 18 the Sperryville Fire Company assisted the Castleton Fire Company at a field fire between Scrabble and Castleton. It is estimated that thirty acres were burned. Wednesday, March 13 the Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Stanley Foster to Winchester Memorial Hospital. Tuesday, March 19 the same squad carried Nish North of Huntly to Winchester Memorial Hospital. The Flint Hill Fire Company answered a call Monday, March 18 for a field fire at O. E. Welsh’s and the same day a call to a field fire at Jack Dodson's.
