Mrs. Rodes Brown and Mrs. William Williamson were luncheon guests on Thursday of Mrs. A. Paul Thompson at Fork Union and later attended the Fork Union Garden Club meeting where Mrs. Williamson was guest speaker.
The Woman’s Missionary Society of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church met on Monday night with Mrs. Clyde F. Melton as leader. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Brown of Richmond were week-end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ennis Brown. Sunday guest of Mrs. J.E. Wayland was her son Larry Wayland of Arlington. Additional guests for Sunday supper were Mrs. Donald Osborne and children of Gaines, ville. Mrs. Edna Kelly and Mrs. Clara Welch of Newark,Ohio, who have been guests of Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily have returned to their home. Elder and Mrs. W. T. Daily of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Johnson of Opelika, Alabama have also returned to their repective home after a two weeks visit in the Daily home. Mrs. Perle Coffey, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rector and daughters, James Nelson Rector, Mrs. Leon Rector and Donna Rector were .picnickers at Oak Leaf Park near Luray on Sunday. Mrs. Coffey and Mrs. Rector were Tuesday visitors in Charlessville. Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Wayland and son of Yorktown were recent visitors, dividing their time with their parents Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Wayland and Mrs. Maggie Clater.
