Carolyn Gates Turner, daughter of Mrs. Lewis Turner of Mt.Salem Ave.will receive a BA degree in Physical Education from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. at commencement ceremonies on June 3. While enrolled at the small liberal arts college, Miss Turner was on the girls’ basketball team, a member of the Athletic Committee, the Insignia Club, the Health Club, the Physical Education Majors’ Club, and was Vice-President of the Women's Intramural Council. Miss Turner is a 1959 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Washington, Va.
