District H. D. Meet
Prince William County will be hostess for the annual meet ing of District 8 of Virginia Federation of Home Demonstration clubs on April'8th. The meeting wili be held at the Manassas National Guard Armory. - , The morning session will start at 10:00 and the featured speaker will be Honorable Kathryn H. Stone, Virginia Delegate from Arlington Coun ty. Currently, Mrs. Stone is the only woman member of the Virginia General Assembly, and the only woman to served six terms. She is 'also chairman of the Committee of Public Institutions, and a member of the General ■Laws Committee and the Welfare Committee. Mrs. Stone is also chairman of the Governor’s Committee for Virginia Youth. After lunch, the Vogue Pattern Linen Fashion Show will be presented, courtesy of Woodward and Lothrop Fabric department, Washington, D. C. Anyone who would like to attend the meeting is welcome and it Js hoped that all Home Demonstration members of the county will make a special effort to attend. Luncheon tickets are in the hands of the each county club president, and may be purchased from them, before March 21. Mrsl May Gilbert, state president of the Virginia Federation will be present to describe work done this year, and the Loan Funds for Nursing and Home Economics Students will be presented.
