Bridal Shower
A bridal shower was given Saturday, March 14 at Chester Gap Baptist Church by Mrs. Marie Sealock and Mrs. Louise Mathews, honoring Miss Rosa Belle Williams whose marriage to Bernard Burnette will take place on March 28. Mrs. T. C. Lea returned Sunday from Amherst where she was the guest for the weekend of her brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Williams. On Saturday they were joined by Judge and Mrs T. C. Lea and attended the Lea-Warren wedding at the First Episcopal Church in Amherst. Judge and Mrs. Lea and Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead IV of Sperryville left over the week-end for Stowe, Vermont for a week of skiiing, where it is reported the snow is from thirty-six to forty inches deep.
