Mrs. John Corder

Martha Elizabeth Gore Corder, age 85 years, of Culpeper, died on Friday, March 13, 1964 at the Fauquier County Hospital after an illness of more than a year. She was the daughter of the late Bushrod F. Gore and Leah Estes Gore of Rappahannock County. She is survived by her husband, John B. Corder, a former resident of Viewtown; a daughter, Mrs. Grace B. Woodward of Falls Church and a son, Milton L. Corder of Culpeper. Two granddaughters, Mrs. Lawrence R. Kirkwood Jr., of Culpeper and Mrs. Wayne E. Busbice of Rockville Md.; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Corder celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on December 14th. Mrs. Corder had been a member of the Gourdvine Baptist Church more than 75 years. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Gourdvine Baptist Church with her pastor, Rev. F. E. Cleland and a former pastor, Rev. Koy Peterson, officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Raymond Gore, James, Thomas, Ennis, Ellis, Elmer and Richard Gore. The Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of the Arrangements.
