groups of fine books have been brought in, in spite of the long and difficult winter. Mrs. John Hand and her daughter sent in four boxes all the way from Hyattsville, Maryland. Mrs. Hand was raised in Flint Hill. She has several old ledger books withthe names and transactions of most of the people living around Flint Hill from 1800 to 1840. These will be available for our research on historical people, places, and things of Rappahannock. Many people in and out of the county have precious material in these areas and we hope they will register the information with the Library that complete records of our county’s history may be preserved! The first of a series of Library Programs was presented at the Library Friday night. Mr. E. M. Jones showed the Williamsburg film “The Story of a Patriot . It was well received by those who attended.
