Flint Hill Banquet
The Ladies Auxiliary were hostesses at the annual dinner for the Volunteer Fire Company on Tuesday, March 10 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. Approximately 115 members and gifests, representatives from other county Fire Companies as well as surrounding counties enjoyed an excellent oyster and ham menu. The guest speaker was Mr. Elliott Jayne, Deputy Chief of the Alexandria Fire Company who gave a most informa tive and inspiring talk on the subjects such as participation response, and other things relating to a Volunteer Company, featuring a list of resolutions all starting with “Let us. ., The assembled company was most responsive to the address. Mr.^Jayne was accompanied by Battalion Chief Ross of Alexandria. Mrs. Thomas B.Massle sang a pleasing selection of popular songs accompanied by Miss Virginia Yates Bradford.
