Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fincham spent Sunday with Mrs. O. B. Smith and family of Etlan. Jay Anderson of Broad Run who has spent the past four months with his sister Mrs. Claude Sparks and attended school at Salem had the misfortune to injure his hand while bicycle riding. James Anderson of Warrenton and Thornton Leach of Broad Run were Sunday visitors at the Sparks home. Jay Anderson returned to his home with them. C. J. Ireland attended the Maryland State Foxhunter's Association Bench Show June 6 at Cedar Grove, Md. Mrs. Ireland’s fox hound Dor land brought back two trophies to Culpeper County. He won first
place of “Derby Males" and second for the ‘'best opposite sex". Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Johnson and three sons have returned from a recent three day trip to Greenville, Tenn. where they visited Mr. Johnson’s brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 1 Harold Walker and Ellis Smith Gloria will participate in the State dairy foods demonstration contest as district representative. Harold Walker will enter the Share-The-Fun program with a vocal instrumental act. Ellis Shnith will serve as voting delegate for the county.
During the week the 4-H’ers will attend classes, judging competitions, demonstrations tour8, and other educational activities. They will have opportunity to see 4-H in action on the state level.
