Konek-Jones
The First Methodist Church of Foxhill, Hampton, Virginia was the scene for the 2 o’clock wedding on June 20 ol Mrs. Jean B. Jones, daughtei of Mr. and Mrs. Maury Browr of Sperryville and John H, Konek, son of Mr. and Mrs, Peter Konek of- Cleveland, Ohio. The Rev. Robert Hoovei officiated at the double ring ceremony. A program of nuptial music was rendered by Mrs. C. H. Thomas, organist, of Hampton.
The bride wore a streetlength gown of taffeta with lace and an over-jacket of lace, with long sleeves, coming to a point over her hands. Her yellow tulle veil fell from a matching satin cabbage rose and she carried a yellowcentered white orchid on a white lace-covered Bible. Mrs. Elizabeth B. Ragan ol Richmond, sister of the bride, was the only attendant. Her street-length gown was made of mint green embossed peaii de sole with a matching shortsleeved over-jacket. She wore matching peau de sole pumps and carried a bouquet of white daisies with yellow center, tied with a yellow ribbon. Her headpiece was a veiled cabbage rose of matched satin anc tulle. Ring-bearer was Joseph B. Jones, III; Flower girl, Donna Robin Jones, whose dress was yellow organza with mint trim. Mr. Peter Konek was his son’s best man. Al/c Gerald M. Brown, brother of the bride, was usher. The bride’s mother wore ar azure blue cupioni dress with white accessories, and she hac a corsage of yellow carnations. The mother of the bride groom was dressed in powder blue chiffon, with coordinating accessories and a corsage oi mint green carnations. Following the wedding a garden reception was held at the home of Al/c and Mrs. Norman B. Small.
