Miss Harriet Goode and Miss Doris Daugherty are in Blacksburg this week attending 4-H short course at V. P. I. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith in Fairfax. Miss Lee Smith was a weekend visitor in Roanoke.
Mr. and Mrs. Quenton McCoy of Arlington were visitors over the weekend of Mrs. F. D. Wood and family at Sunny Side. Mrs. C. B. Palmer and son, David Palmer attended the wedding Saturday of Miss Allie Blue Hable in Suffolk. Miss Peggy Palmer, who has a teaching position in Lynchburg, was an attendant at the wedding of her former roommate. Mrs. Palmer and David also visited Mrs. N. R. Neblett at Smithfield before returning home the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill and family of Richmond were weekend guests of Mrs. Cargill’s mother, Mrs. T. C. Lea. Mrs. Cargill was organist at the Dicker son-Davis wedding on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Keyser entertained at luncheon Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Keyser, Jr. and two sons of Fairfax, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaGrew and two children of Lexington, Ky., Mrs. Richard Stokes and daughter of Leesburg, the Rev. R. P. Kirby of Charlottesville, Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead, IV of Sperryville, Joseph D. Keyser and Mrs. F. D. Wood. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Paulson and family left Sunday for Newport News after spending the weekend with Mrs. Paulson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell at Twinland. Miss Mary Miller Wood left
