Rappahannock County High School Panthers opened the 64-65 basketball season Tues Hay night with a home game played against Madison Co. High School. The Panthers and JV both were defeated in the opener. In the varsity game, the Panthers held up well until the final quarter and were defeated by 19 points. The score was Madison 55; Rappahannock 36. The JV took a walloping from Madison and the final score was 36-13. Looks as thbugh 36 is a bad number for Rappahannock. Charles Wysor is the new coach at the local high school this year.
