Corn Requested
Rappahannock Drought Disaster Committee in session last week again decided there was no need to request that the county be approved for receiving drought relief corn. This decision was based on several facts and/or findings. 1. There was a bumper crop of 1st cutting of hay in the county this year. 2. 1964 small grain yields, barley and oats, were frequently reported in the 80100 bushels per acre range; the best since 1931.
