Saturday, December 5th is the last day on which to pay real estate and personal property taxes to avoid penalty and interest charges, accord ing to Rappahannock County Treasurer, Robert L. Brown. Any payments made after this date will include these addi tional charges. Payments mail ed to the Treasurer’s Office must be post marked Dec.5, 1964.
'■y|v Varsity-Jaycee Ball Game Scheduled
The Rappahannock JCs and prospective members will engage Rappahannock County High School in a basketball game, at the high school gym, Friday night, December 4, 1964. The game should be interesting in light of the fact that most of the JCs are alum-? ni of the County High School and have not played for some years. COME ON OUT, a good game is expected and fun will be had by all.
Pvt. Judy Lillard
Honor Graduate
PFC. Judy Lillard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lillard of Clermont, Florida, graduated recently as an honor student from the U. S. Army Security Agent Training Center and School at FortDevens, Mass. The Lillards received a most complimentary letter from Brig. Gen. Phillip B. Davidson, CO, at Fort Devens, who wrote, "PrivateLillard’sdiligence, perseverance, ability and attitude make her a student of whom y6u may be very proud. Her accomplishments in this course will fit her to occupy an important position in the defense of our nation.* A little known fact is that the course she took is one of the most difficult courses in the Army education system. The Lillards are former rest dents of Rappahannock County and have many relatives in this area. Judy attended grade school here and Rappahannock County High School before moving to Florida. I
