Old Man Winter put in an appearance in this section of the country Monday after weekB of warm pie as ant autumn weather. Snow began falling M o n d a y morning and continued through early afternoon, but only a skim remained on the ground in the Wash ington area. The Amissville section had an inch. By afternoon the wind blew furiously and temperatures dropped. Winter’s debut this year was mild though, compared with last year when on the 29th of November rain, snow and raging winds left considerable damage in their wake. Numerous trees were blown over and limbs sheared off. elec£ ricity in Flint Hill was intee rupted by a large tree falling on the lines and’traffic snarl ed when a tree fell across the highway.
Washington Indoor Carnival Continues
The Indoor Carnival sponsored by the Washington Ladies Auxiliary will be held again Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the Washington Fire House, with games and prizes. Come and enjoy the fun.
