Mr. and Mrs. James F. Osborne, Jr. and family of Newport News were guests last weekend of the Rev. and Mrs. Fletcher Osborne. Mr. and Mrs. William Wharton of Arlington were last Wednesday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Compton. Mrs. Gilbert Dennis and her father L. H. Luttrell were visitors Thanksgiving Day of Mrs. Russell Luttrell and John A. Luttrell in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Poling had as their holiday guests Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Poling of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Poling and family, Dearborn, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spangler of Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Cary Potz and Mrs. William Cloud were dinner guests Sunday of Miss Irva Poe. Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maddox Tapp were Mr. and Mrs. James Whisnant of Front Royal. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Whisnant were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Tapp. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clement and Mr. and Mrs. Emory Shifflett, all of Alexandria were guests Thanksgiving Day of Mrs. Dolly Melbourne. Mrs. Melbourne returned to Alexandria to spend the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest and children Robert and Lisa spent the day Saturday in Washington, D. C. and enroute home visited Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Edwards in Fairfax. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Stover and children spept Saturday in Winchester. Sunday they were dinner guests of Mrs. Elinor Stover. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy were visitors Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles in Warrenton.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Richard Latham and son Cliff attended the VPI-VMI football game Thanksgiving Day in Roanoke. They were accompanied home by their daughter, Judith, who attends Radford College and by Robert Armentrout, a student at VPI. Mrs. Ethel Cooksey and Mrs. Annie Latham accompanied Mrs. Gilbert Dennis and daugh ter Landra to visit Mrs. Neva Bywaters on Tuesday. Mrs. Bywaters is recuperating after a recent illness and hospitalization. Sunday visitors of Mrs. Cooksey and Mrs. Latham were Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith. Tuesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hutto of Rich mond. The Burners spent Thanksgiving Day in Lexington with relatives.
