So often we adults are guilty of performing Jobs, making purchases, or expenditures, out of habit when really there is a better way if we will but take advantage of opportunities of learn them. This thought was provoked In reading an editorial "Get That Diploma* In the Drovers Journal.
To quote In part, — "life itself is one continuous period of learning. The successful person never ceases to study. It is nothing short of a crime against self and society to squander time in school. The penalties for failure to get an education these days can be absolutely crippling." "Have fun, yes! But get an education, too. It can be done with a little self-discipline which, along with training and knowledge, is the essence of education. Let nothing stand in the way of bettering yourself through academic learning. Jt*s your one big chance to put ^yourself on the right track. Education is not the answer to all problems, but it is an important key to solutions... and opportunities that may be barred hog-tight otherwise." ; While the editorial addressed college freshmen, it includes much for we grownups too.
