March Weather More

‘Goose’ Than ‘Lamb’„

Usually we associate March with the Lion and the Lamb, but this year it can well be associated with a goose, for it's been extremely silly weather, tov say the least.

Now snow in March is not unusual, but to have a snow storm one day and a thunder storm the next is a bit out of the ordinary. Last Wednefr day this area was covered with a couple of inches of snow and Thursday night a thunder storm followed. When 6harp flashes of lightning pierced the sky, its brilliance was intense fied as it reflected on the show. This was followed later in the night by hail which played a staccato on the window panes, and made one wonder if spring was just two days off.

However, spring was not to be outdone, and was ushered in with chilly temperatures and snow falling intermittently throughout the day. A bright spot in all of this has been the crocus anc jessamine which have, heedless of the weather, burst forth in a profusion of blossoms. ’ Though spring is officially here, don’t put away your tweeds, woolens or snow tires yet.
