Thoroughly grease 2-quart casserole. Preheat oven to 350°. In large saucepan heat milk until almost simmering. Add butter or margarine and stir until melted. Stir in corn meal until smooth. Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches boiling point; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Meanwhile, beat egg yolks until blended; stir into corn meal mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry, peaks form; fold into corn meal mixture. Turn into casserole. Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Serve immediately.
