In contrastto their usual role ! of aides, the women of the ! Ladies Auxiliary to Wash| ington Fire Company and Rap pahannock Rescue Squad, sat back, took it easy and enjoyed themselves Friday night. The women and additional guests were entertained by the firemen and squadsmen with banquet which was held at Hampton Inn. A turkey and ham dinner was served along with music, entertainment and good company. Acting as master of ceremonies was Ralph Rowzie of Amissville, who welcomed all and got off a few of his usual good jokes on many. He introduced the Rev. Charles Claenzer of Trinity Episcopal Church, who spoke on the necessary cooperation and leadership for a smooth functioning organization. An interesting and extreme ly informative talk and demonstration was given by Selby Jacobs, a fireman from Alexandria. Mr. Jacobs demonstrated the potential danger in some household products used daily which can be fire hazards. Among them were aerosol containers of insect killer which burn profusely when used near open flame and ladies hair spray equal to a blow-torch around a flame. He showed the effect of oxygen on fire and demonstrated what happens when gaoline fumes come in contact with a flame or spark. Mr. Jacobs impressed on the group
