That, Dear Madam, is exactly what the “Rulers” would have you do and so long as the citizens “immediately forget* such high handed behavior, they will continue to act in the same fashion. I hope the local citizenry ceases to be taken in by such pseudo-benevolence toward the people of this county. You may rest assured that such action was taken because the appointment was recognized as a political plum to be passed out to the person who could and would benefit the clique the most.
I don’t feel that there is anyone who would not like to see a local man receive this apoointment so long as he is qualified to handle all facets of the position in an acceptable manner. At the present time there is no unemployed man, with the qualifications necessary, available. In the meantime, the county is without adequate supervision. The sportsmen and landowners have right to better treatment than this especially since it is solely for the enhancement of some politician’s position. Dear Madam, please don’t
“immediately forget" these things. Yesterday the dance halls, today the game warden, th® future? Heaven only knows--if we forget. Remember! Remember! And the time will come, when the Frost will leave the pumpkin, and the jobs will not be plums.
