Mr. and Mrs. Clemon Woodward entertained at dinner on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Wood ward’s sister Mrs. John Hurt’s birthday. Others in attendance were John Hurt and son Wayne of Criglersville, Charlotte and Gary Dyer, of Madison niece and nephew of Mrs. Woodward, and James Taylor of Wolftown. The Rev. W. B. Dennis spent Monday with his daughter Mrs. R. W. Payne and Mr. Payne and family near Luray. Dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Minnis of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy and son Charles and daughter Miss Betty Kennedy of-Alexandria. Miss Carol Cobert returned home from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg on Friday for her spring vacation. She spent Saturday and Sunday in Ocean City, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Gaines were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. Gaines’ parents Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Gaines and children were recent guests of Mrs. Gaines’ parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Camp bell at Woodville. Mr. and Mrs. Barton Quaintance and family of Seaford, Del. arrived on Friday, March 19 to spend the week-end and celebrate the birthday of Mr. Quaintance’s mother Mrs. R. W. Quaintance on March 20. Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Quaintance, Jr. and family of Culpeper arrived on Saturday to join in the celebration. Miss Elsie Ramsey, who resides with her sister Mrs. Quaintance was also present for the occasion.
